Welcome to my new blog. I’ll be writing about the progress I’m making on a Gustav Stickley house and its furnishings. I’m into this project more than 18 months now. I’ve had the intention of starting a website to journal my progress from the beginning, but I’m technologically challenged and can be an expert at procrastination when intimidated. But a friend told me about a friend who might be able to help me, and helping she is! As of today, the log jam is broken. My intention is to start back at the beginning and explain where my interest in miniatures began, to chronicle the inspiration for this particular project and to journal in retrospect its progress so far. Then I’m committed to staying current with regular entries, adding lots of photos along the way and detailing my research, sources, mistakes, plans, methods, collaborations with other artists, stumbling blocks, solutions, frustrations and enormous joy. Hopefully family, friends and maybe even a few followers out there will simply have fun reading the narrative or find guidance, courage and inspiration for their own creations in my story.
